Student Code of Conduct
As a student in our live virtual learning environment, you are expected to uphold a high standard of integrity, professionalism, and respect throughout your educational journey.
This Student Code of Conduct outlines the behaviours and responsibilities required to maintain a positive, safe, and productive learning atmosphere for everyone.
1. Respect and Courtesy
All students must:
- Treat instructors, fellow students, and staff with courtesy and professionalism.
- Use appropriate language during live classes, discussions, chats, or emails.
- Avoid interrupting others or dominating conversations.
- Refrain from making offensive, discriminatory, or disrespectful comments.
We have zero tolerance for harassment, bullying, hate speech, or any form of abuse.
2. Class Participation
- Attend your live classes on time and stay throughout the session.
- Keep your microphone muted when not speaking.
- Follow the class instructions and participate respectfully when called upon.
- Do not engage in distracting activities during class (e.g., multitasking, chatting off-topic).
- Complete any assigned tasks, exercises, or activities during or after class.
Remember, live attendance is central to how Pegon Academy delivers learning.
3. Academic Integrity
Students must:
- Submit their own work and ideas unless collaboration is authorised.
- Not plagiarise, copy, or cheat in assessments, projects, or discussions.
- Avoid impersonating others or allowing someone else to attend class in your name.
Violations of academic integrity may result in removal from the course or the Academy entirely.
4. Recording and Content Use
Pegon Academy prohibits:
- Recording live classes without written permission.
- Taking screenshots or distributing materials without approval.
- Sharing, reselling, or uploading class content elsewhere.
All materials and class content are the intellectual property of Pegon Academy and are protected under copyright law.
5. Technology and Platform Usage
Students must:
- Use their own valid login credentials — do not share your account.
- Attend classes using a reliable internet connection and a quiet, appropriate environment.
- Not interfere with the class technology (e.g., spamming chat, screen sharing without permission).
- Follow any additional tech guidelines provided by the instructor.
6. Communication with Instructors and Staff
- Use formal, respectful tone when emailing or messaging Pegon Academy staff.
- Allow 24–48 hours for a response to non-urgent requests.
- Use our official email: pegonacademy@gmail.com for all support queries or complaints.
7. Attendance and Punctuality
Since our sessions are live-only, attendance is mandatory unless otherwise discussed. You must:
- Inform us in advance if you cannot attend a scheduled class.
- Catch up on missed work through instructor-guided alternatives (if allowed).
Repeat absences without valid reason may result in removal from the program.
8. Consequences of Misconduct
Violations of this Code of Conduct may lead to:
- Verbal or written warnings
- Temporary removal from a session
- Revocation of access to courses or platform
- Permanent dismissal from Pegon Academy
- Denial of future enrolment
Serious cases may also be reported to relevant authorities where applicable.
